MAGDALENA PAWLISZ
Connecting people
trough
music.
As a conductor I deeply believe in the communicative language and visceral power of music that cuts right to the core of what unites us as human beings. By finding moments of awe I let the music guide me to its essence so I can feel it and then translate it, creating an awe-inspiring experience for the listener. Pawlisz’s conducting is fire in the eye, finding moments of soft magic and pure joy of music-making. When constructing concert programs I look for the untold stories, unspoken heroes and unobvious truths that enrich our lives and make us grow as humans.

"Credit for this concert must be given to Magdalena Pawlisz. In addition to calmly but decisively conducting the orchestra, this young - though already acclaimed in Poland and abroad - artist unearthed from the depths of the Library and Archives of the Minorite Monastery in Vienna handwritten vocal and instrumental voices, resting there, probably since Lessel's own activities in the city."

"Ihre solide Vorbereitung und eine sehr gut entwickelte Schlagtechnik haben ihr ermöglicht, sich am Pult mit der notwendigen Souveränität zu beweisen."

"The first thing to mention is her musical and personal integrity. Many conductors at the present time promote themselves with much bravura and superficial talent. Magdalena does not follow this fashion."

"Magdalena just conducted a concert with Lutoslawski’s Concerto for orchestra and Beethoven’s 7th symphony and both the orchestra and the audience were really thrilled with her performance. Her emotional dedication and natural authority make every rehearsal a joy for the musicians and her attention for detail and her musicality guarantee satisfying performances."
